    Posted 04-06-2022 07:41 AM

In partnership with ATLIS, we invite you to hear from two independent school educators who will share their experiences using creative STEM robotics in varied environments – in classrooms, enrichment classes, makerspaces, and after school programs. Hear from your colleagues on the ease-of-use and the creative ways the screen-free KIBO robot can support age-appropriate, playful learning of computational thinking, STEAM skills, cooperation, collaboration, and more!

They will share examples of engaging STEAM activities and lessons using KIBO to enrich learning, offering opportunities for student directed learning and exploration in and out of the classroom, involving hands-on building, engineering, and design. You'll hear about ways to introduce coding and computational thinking even to the youngest learners.

    Attendees Will Learn:
    – How coding creates a playful learning environment in any PreK-4th grade learning setting
    – How easy it is to use and implement innovative, age-appropriate KIBO robotics
    – Examples of ways children engage in robotic and coding activities proven to support students' learning and play with computational thinking concepts
    – The benefits of incorporating STEAM robotics across multiple subjects as an effective way to support diverse student self-expression and communication – Activity suggestions for hands-on play

    Speakers
    – Dan Riles, Innovation Coach, The Meadowbrook School, Weston, MA
    – Kimberly Walker, Lower School Director of Technology Integration and Innovation, The Agnes Irwin School, Bryn Mawr, PA

    Moderator
    – Jason Innes, Director of Curriculum, Training, and Product Management, KinderLab Robotics, Inc., Waltham, MA
