As ATLIS 2023 approaches, I reflected on what makes the conference so special to me.
I enjoy starting the day with an early morning walk or run with other attendees. There's something about getting up and moving in the fresh air that helps to clear your mind and prepare you for a day of learning and networking. Plus, it's a great way to connect with other attendees in a more casual setting and discover the host city.
During the conference, I love exploring the host city with colleagues. The conference is held in beautiful locations, and there is always something to see and do in the surrounding area. Whether it's trying a new restaurant in Grand Rapids or visiting a local attraction, the social events and downtime during the conference provide a fantastic opportunity to explore new places and create memories with colleagues.
The type of learning that happens in person can't be replicated online. I love the ATLIS community because they share and problem-solve together. If you are looking for innovative new solutions to bring back to your school, the ATLIS vendor hall has you covered.
Another highlight of the conference is the built-in time to network, which offers a chance to catch up with colleagues you haven't seen in a while and make new friends. If you don't know anyone yet, that's ok. ATLIS has you covered! There are meetups for solo travelers, first-timers, and women in tech. There are roundtables for IT directors and edtech, and women in tech power hour. We'll help you make the connections.
Finally, the conference is an excellent opportunity to reunite with former colleagues and make new connections with people who share your interests and experiences. Whether it's collaborating on a new project, sharing best practices, or simply enjoying each other's company, the relationships you build at the conference can last a lifetime.
Attending the ATLIS Annual Conference is an experience like no other.
