Share more about yourself to get to know one another better. Below there are some ideas to get you started, but feel free to add any information you would like.

Tell us about yourself (who are you, what do you do, where are you from, what is your background, what is the name of your school).
What's your school like (number of students, grade range, boarding/day)? Are you a team of one or do you have lots of support? Who is on the tech team?
What does technology look like at your school?

Feel free to add a personal note if you would like (hobbies, pets, family, favorite travel destinations, music/movies).

We're so thrilled you are here!

Hello! I am the director of technology at Stevenson School in Pebble Beach and Carmel, California. We are a PK-12 day/boarding school.
I have been serving the school since 1998 and have seen huge changes in technology throughout my career. I have a team of 5 that support our day to day operations; two help desk technicians, a dbadmin, and a technology operations manager.
We are currently gearing up for face to face learning in the fall without hybrid instruction... hopefully.
I also serve as an ALI faculty member and founding member of ATLIS. This is a wonderfully collaborative community and we all learn so much from each other! I look forward to sharing with all of you!

    Hi everyone,
My name is Tyler, and I'm the Director of Information Resources and Technologies (#DIRT) at the Academy of Notre Dame- an all-girls, grades 6-12 Catholic school outside Philly.  Although not a Philly native-shout out to the Jersey Shore- I've been at ND for about 8 years now.  I started off as a math teacher for a school in Philly, then began teaching at ND before moving into academic technology.  From there, I joined the ATLIS ECATD program, which helped prepare me to become the supervisor of all things technology at the school while also introducing me to this incredible network.

I'm grateful to have a powerhouse team featuring a Technician, Network Engineer, Data Systems Manager (who's currently going through a migration- ask me about Veracross...go on, ask me),  Registrar, and Librarian.

Our school is 1:1 MacBook Air, and we've been an Apple Distinguished School for the past 4 years.  With the pandemic, we also transitioned our teachers to 2:1 iPad and MacBook.  Combined with Apple TVs and wall-mounted projectors, we've abandoned SMARTboards, and I would happily talk with anyone about making that decision.  No offense to a quality product, but they did not work for us, and there's strong pedagogical and financial evidence for making the switch.

In general, looking forward to continuing to work with an incredible community.  I look forward to the next large-scale conference where I can see everyone again!

    Hi!

My name is Eli Forsythe and I am the Director of Technology at Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn, NY. I work with an incredible team 5 without whom our school would not have been able to survive this last year. We have a student body in PK - 12th grade of about 1100 students and about 350 faculty and staff. Saint Ann's is an arts-centered, gradeless, day-school and a lovely place to work.

In my spare time, of which there was not enough since March 2020, I like to bake, run, read, nap, and play with my family.

    Cheers,
    Eli

I have been a Board member for five years. Currently retired after selling my educational technology company InRESONANCE(IR) in 2017. I started as the first technology director at the Loomis Chaffee School in 1989 and served until. 1999 when I founded IR. As a member of the CT Tech Board we launched one of the first tech training programs for schools in 1993. I served as an Apple Corps trainer 94-2000 and later ran that summer teacher training program as EdVentures in Technology when Apple stopped. Spent the 90s as a consultant to independent schools as they built networks, brought in databases to replace paper and file cabinets and soon entered the internet world. It has been a fascinating journey.

My name is Holly, and I'm the Technology Director at Charles Wright Academy in Tacoma, WA. We are a PS-12 day school in a secondary market that serves about 575 students and 140 employees. My technology department consists of me, our School Information Manager, Network/Systems Administrator, and Client Support Specialist.  I came here in 2008 as the Lower/Middle School Technology Coordinator and have held all the jobs in the department...I attended the ECATD program in 2019 and am now the director, still trying to get a handle on all the things.

Both of my daughters graduated from CWA, the youngest just this past spring. I will be an empty nester come August 20. :(

In my spare time, I'm super into jigsaw puzzles and gardening.

I'm a HUGE fan of ATLIS and rely on the collaborative and kind nature of all the folks here to help me do my job! Very grateful to have a space where we can all connect, thank you!

Hi everyone! My name is Jennifer Baselice and I am the Director of Technology at Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando, FL. I am a Miami native and first generation in this country (parents came from Cuba).

Although a tech "dept" (break/fix/buy stuff) has been in place at my school for about 20 years, I am the first Director of Technology at the school supervising the instructional and operational teams and setting strategic technology goals for the school. I am new to this position (Feb 2020 -- just in time for Covid!) and come from 15 years of teaching mathematics. I am an ECATD Alum (c/o 2020) and am so grateful to the ATLIS network because this crew gave me the confidence to take on this role!

We are a PK-12 school with over 2k students -- PK-6 is 1:1 iPad and we are 1:1 MB Air 7-12; teachers are 2:1 iPad/MacBook and I am working to phase out Desktop PCs. We are almost complete with Apple TVs in every classroom. We are also slow rolling our way to Veracross (current PowerSchool shop) and would love to connect with folks who are in that world this year as I research VC for our academic division's scheduling needs.

My team (who rocks) is comprised of an Associate Director of Tech Operations (my right hand!), 3 Tech Support Specialists (we have a MS campus a mile away from the main campus), a Support/Help Desk Coordinator, Data Systems Admin, 2 EdTech Specialists, and a Department Coordinator. We have A LOT of fun and I can firmly say we are the most fun, cohesive, and collaborative team on campus and we all genuinely like each other ;)

Looking forward to connecting with everyone!

I'm Daisy and I'm the Director of Technology at Catlin Gabel School in Portland, Oregon. We're a preschool – 12th grade day school with 779 students and just over 200 faculty and staff. We are 1:1 iPads preschool – 8th grade and BYOD 9–12.

I have been so grateful for the ATLIS community since its first conference and first leadership consortium. It's been my source for tech advice, moral support, and community.

When not deep into all things tech, I enjoy spending time with my family and our Boston Terrier/Beagle mix dog (also known as a Bogle), sewing and crafts, art, paddle boarding, fishing, and camping. Ask me about my new stock tank pool.

Hi, I'm the Chief Information Officer at Crystal Springs Uplands School. Our school is located about 45 min south of San Francisco. We are a 6-12 day school with two campuses in two different towns (MS in Belmont, CA & US in Hillsborough, CA ) serving about 575 students.
I've been at Crystal since 2012 and have been fortunate to be a part of the building of our MS campus from the ground up. We are a 1:1 school (iPads in the MS & BYOMac laptops in the US).
I started my work in education as a teacher/department head at the Landmark School in Manchester, MA right out of college. I took a year off to learn more and earn a master's in education with a concentration in Technology in Education. For 15 years I was the Director of Technology at Nashoba Brooks School in Concord, MA.
I was lucky to attend the very first ATLIS conference and I don't think I've missed one since! A highlight of my career has been participating in the ALI program (previously known as ECATD) as a faculty member.

Hi Everyone!  This is so great.  Always excited to talk, plan, ponder, commiserate and collaborate with you all.  I am the Director of Technology at St. Anne's Episcopal School in Denver, Colorado.  I've been with St. Anne's since April 2007, so that's 14 years... time flies!

We are a PS - 8 school with approx. 430 students.  We have 1:1 iPads in K-2 and 1:1 Chromebooks in 3-8.  In addition we have a couple Mac labs around campus.  All our faculty have MacBook Airs.

Our department is a team of 3, me and two others.  We have a Director of Technology, a Technology Coordinator who helps me with projects and also teaches K-3 technology classes, and lastly a Technology & Digital Innovations Teacher who focuses mainly on teaching grades 4-8.

Before St. Anne's I worked with various tech companies in Silicon Valley, California.  I then worked with Ally at Stevenson School and then had an opportunity to come out to Denver and lead St. Anne's in Technology.

Hope everyone is doing well and feeling like this summer is a little more of a "back to normal" summer.  What a ride!

Hi!  My name is Tracey and I am starting my 15th year at All Saints' Episcopal Day School in Phoenix, Arizona.  I attended Bank Street College in NYC and never thought I would do anything but teach elementary school - but then I started getting more and more involved with technology and how we integrate technology into our classrooms.  I moved to the Tech Department in 2014 and I am now the Ed-Tech Coordinator for the school and I also teach K-4 technology in our Lower School Dream Lab (maker-space).  I love to help coach/mentor teachers with technology and I love to teach students - so I'm happy for now!

We are a Prek-8th grade school and have around 500 students. I've always thought we do a pretty good job of blending progressive with traditional - we still teach cursive and some of our biggest projects do not involve technology at all - but the design thinking method is consistently integrated and our goal is to help our kids learn to problem solve, collaborate, and become empathetic and positive members of our community. We are 1:1 ipads from K-8 and our middle school students (5-8) take them home daily.

We were in person for most of last year and I am excited to start this year back in my classroom (instead of on a cart).  I couldn't have gotten through this past year without the support from the Atlis community and I am so excited for this forum.  I look forward to connecting with all of you!

Hi.  Nancy Stutsman from Monte Cassino School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  I look forward to learning from all of you!

I am the Technology Director at our PreK-8 Benedictine (Catholic) school with around 750 students.  Monte Cassino was named after the monastery in Italy.  I have lived in Tulsa most of my life, but graduated from college in Virginia and did graduate work on the opposite coast in California and at the University of Tulsa.

Did software support, programming, and network administration for law firms and an oil company until an opportunity arose at Monte Cassino where my children attended.  Had  an extreme case of HelicopterParent-itis, so decided to join what I thought would be the less-stressful non-profit world. Ha!

I wear lots of hats at the school from sole network administrator, faculty staff trainer, database manager, phone system manager, technology purchaser, advanced troubleshooting and pretty much anything else that in any way involves IT.

I enjoy designing fun 3D prints in TinkerCAD and 3D printing and am addicted to Legos. Love learning new technologies - especially ones that make teaching and learning easier or more interesting or fun for our faculty and students.

Looking forward to hearing from you and cannot wait to bring some of the great innovative things you do at your schools to Monte Cassino!

Hello.  I am the Director of Technology at the Webb School of Knoxville, in Knoxville Tennessee.  No, I don't speak with an accent ;-) I have been working at Webb since 1994 and started with pretty much nothing in the way of technology on campus at the time.  Lots of things have changed over the years, and I have been lucky enough to be there it shepherd and guide those changes.

We are a Pre-K 12 college prep private school and we have had a 1:1 program since about 2011.  We use Apple iPads in grades Pre-K - 8, and Apple MacBook Air computers in grades 9 - 12.

Like everyone, we have had an interested year and a half, but we are looking forward to hopefully getting back to something that looks closer to "normal" in our school in August.

I am sure we do things in similar ways as many of you out there, and I am sure that we do something differently.  I am always happy to discuss why we made the choices that we made, how we are using technology at the school in general and in the classrooms, and how talk about what works well, and what could use some improvement.

I am looking forward to fruitful discussions and learning from everyone here.  Feel free to contact me if you have questions about using or managing Apple products, using Interactive displays in classrooms, virtual classrooms, LMS, etc.  You know the list goes on and on ;-). I am always happy to help another school if I can.

    Hi,

I am Brian Hoyt. I used to be a consultant helping out small businesses long ago. One of my clients was Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, MD. In early 2003 I came on full time at that school. I stayed there as network admin for 10 years as technology of laptops and Wi-Fi rapidly evolved from brick laptops with 1-2 hour battery life and 802.11b to tablets and other form factors.

I have been working at the French American School of Puget Sound as the Director of IT since the summer of 2013. I have grown their device fleet from 100-150 to over 600 and migrated almost everything from on premise severs to the Microsoft 365 cloud. Our school is bi-lingual French, I don't speak French though. We have 435 students TYPK-8 and 90 or so employees. For much of my time I was solo but now have a part time support person.

We use Surface Pro 2 in 1 laptops / tablets for students 3-8 and iPads as of last year 1-1 for K-2. Our faculty use Lenovo X1 Yoga laptops. We are primarily a Microsoft school with some Apple hardware thrown in. We use much of the Blackbuad stack and then have Seesaw for TYPK-2.

When I have some free time you can find me on the Xbox playing video games.

Hello everyone!  I'm Gabe Lucas, one of the three co-founders of ATLIS, and a former trustee who served on the board from 2014-2020.  I was a technology director at two schools in the San Francisco Bay Area from 2007-2015.  In 2015, I launched Ed Tech Recruiting to help schools hire better for technology leadership positions, and it's been a fantastic six years working with schools across the globe and meeting dynamic technology professionals in the process.  I will be in Seattle Friday evening through Sunday morning...if anyone is going to be up in the area before the official conference kickoff, let me know!  These days, in-person hellos are all the more special!

    Hi all.
I am Jen Lamkins with the Northwest Association of Independent Schools in Seattle.

I have about 13 years of experience with independent schools as an educational technologist and director of technology. Before that I taught educational technology at CSULB for 8 years to undergraduate and graduate students.

In terms of technology, I am currently a team of 1 but have led teams of 4-9. So I can empathize with the one-person show as well as the challenge and joy of building and managing diverse teams.

Right now, as seems the case at most schools I have served, I am in the midst of migrating to new systems to improve user experience and cyber security. Fun times.

My hobbies: I play several musical instruments (mostly to lower stress), I read a lot, I draw (also to relieve stress), motorcycle around the sound, and I exercise (run, hike and bike). I just finished  a 1600+ mile virtual bike ride this spring (San Diego to Canadian border on my office bike!) and am training for a virtual marathon for St. Jude's Hospital in December. Virtual means I still have to train, I just don't have to travel to Memphis to complete. :-) Still trying to lose my "COVID 20" around my waist. :-/

Cheers everyone. Glad to connect with you all.
    Jen

Hello. I am Larisa Luca. I am the Manager of Technology Support Services at The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey.
I started at the Lawrenceville the January before the pandemic hit- so it has been an interesting time to get going at a new school.
I began my career in the corporate world for 5 years and then moved to public schools at the South Brunswick Board of Education. I have been working for Support Desks for about 18 years in total and I just love the front end user support side of things. You get to meet and interact with students, parents, faculty, & staff. I am passionate of providing support for not just classrooms but for all staff.

As far as Lawrenceville goes, We are an upper school so just high school aged students. It is a boarding school with a day school option for those local. We have about 750 students.

Our tech team is comprised of a Support Desk that includes myself and I manage 3 technicians and 1 Project manager. We then have a operations side of things with our Tech Director , a sys admin, network manager, and database/programmer. So that gives us 9 people total and then a CTO as well .

    Hello Everyone,
I am the Director of IT for Berkshire School in Sheffield, MA.
I have been working in schools since 1995 as teacher and technologist.  I have worked in both the public and independent sectors and have taught all grades K-12 in my time.

I started with Berkshire School, just 6 months before the quarantine and it has been a wild ride.  I have an incredible team working with me and have been lucky to have wonderful teams in all of my endeavors.

I am looking forward to getting more involved with ATLIS and reacquainting myself with many of you.  I know our paths have crossed over the years.

    I just copied my bio....

From USAF Intelligence to IT Director. -A book by Chet Rodriguez

After some college, I decided I needed some discipline (really, I decided). I signed up for the Air Force with no direction other than "things needed to change".  I was selected for intelligence operations, taught a couple of languages, given a security clearance and a parachute. I excelled in cryptology and analysis. The most important thing I learned was that it is better to sit on your helmet than wear it when getting shot at in a plane. After a few years, I decided this was not good for family life. Being a good family man, I quit my job (sarcasm).
I took a civilian job with a Florida school district as one of two computer techs for all 75 schools and facilities. In a time of 8088 processors and IBM serial mainframe communications, I was the 'communications guy'.  I was given a crew of 21 fine individuals to begin upgrading the system. After 2 years, and many nights of blueprints and spreadsheets, I had designed and implemented an upgrade to network communications. A few Token Ring, but mostly 10baseT ethernet. We upgraded every location with fiber and Cat5 and co-designed some really great 10baseT outside surge protectors for all of the portables at the schools. Much more cost-effective at the time than fiber. We were the first county in Florida to complete such an undertaking. Being a good family man, I quit my job.
Word got out and I was asked to join Stetson University to conduct the same operation for the campus. I was also asked to oversee special projects, new construction, & campus communications. I began to learn more about the hands-on networking platforms, classroom technologies, and deployment strategies and procedures. Being a good family man, I was quit my job (cutbacks). They did hire me back to consult a few years ago and still call.
I was now a free agent during the big crash. Word got out. A friend of mine (the guy I trained and who replaced me at Stetson), said he received a call from a local independent school that was looking for me. I returned the call to find out it was the school that my children had gone to and another friend of mine was now the Head of School and had a new position as IT Manager, that he was offering to me. I jumped at it. Being the good family man, I quit my temp job (Hearing Aids).
I am now going into my 7th year at St Barnabas Episcopal School.  The last 2 as IT Director. Last year I began to utilize family connections within the school to partner with technology entities and hired one such organization to manage the network. Since my tenure here we have upgraded dramatically to support a nearly 1:1 student utilization using iPad and Chromebooks. Classrooms and teachers are equipped with a good selection of the latest technology to teach synchronously and asynchronously as needed. I have two teachers as Tech Leads that are tasked to teach the teachers and assist as liaison in matters of pedagogy needs. This summer I was given additional funds to hire 2 part-time high school engineering students as tech assistants. I teach a class in Christian Education, mentor the student technology team (A/V mostly). I have established a committee of volunteers from our family base to have quarterly Tech Committee meetings for the purpose of transparency in the school's tech issues, visioning, and future forecasting. Their generosity in time, talent, and investment has been a tremendous asset. I am also the Varsity Baseball Head Coach.
I am the brain-trust and chief knuckle-buster of campus technology and a really humble and likable guy.

Hello My name is Hayley Gunther and I am the technologist for the Academy of the New Church located in beautiful Bryn Athyn, PA (just outside of Philadelphia). We are a faith-based 9-12 day/boarding school. We provide single-gender courses as well as co-ed courses.

I provide training to the teachers and students on all things relating to technology. We are a Google school and provide Chromebooks to our students, but also allow for BYOD.

I have a master's degree in Instructional Technology from St. Joseph's University, earned entirely online, an experience that helped pivot our school to fully online back in March of 2019. While helping teachers MacGyver their way through remote teaching, I also decided to upgrade our on-campus infrastructure and our phone system to keep my one assistant working. I have learned that my role here is to be the expert on anything online, or with a data point or a plug.

Hello all! I'm Brent LaRowe, Director of Registrar Services & Information Management at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. We're the N-12 division of the University, serving about 2,200 students and nearly 500 faculty and staff. I lead a great team of three people, working very closely with our Information Systems group which employs about a dozen people -- cross-team leadership is something I've gotten good at over the last year or so, as I'm sure we all have!

My group is responsible for the core information systems that house data critical to the functioning of our school. Those who attended ECATD '19 with me know about that spidery map where my office has tendrils everywhere. We advise and support all our offices and schools on matters of data systems and use, and I serve as Lab's data officer.

Technology at Lab is the same hodgepodge as at most schools -- MacBook Airs and Chromebooks and elmos and short-throw projectors and access points and IP phones and MDF/IDFs and printers and toner closets... We have the distinct advantage of being a university division, so there is a lot of responsibility-sharing with a parent organization that can replace all our APs, and all we do is point to a spot on the ceiling. But that also means that we often have to make an information system designed for higher education work for people in N-12 education. There are a lot of challenges and opportunities!

I'm glad to the new bells and whistles in the ATLIS world, and hope everyone is doing well!

My name is Klay Shannon, and I am the DOT at The Prairie School in Racine, Wi. We are a Pre-K through 12th grade independent day school with an enrollment of 612 on the shores of Lake Michigan.

I run a team of 2, with my colleague who runs device support and PowerSchool (among many other things). We employ iPads and Macbooks in our K-4 grades, and have recently moved to Chromebooks for all of grades 5-12 as their "backpack" 1:1 device. Cloud solutions for almost every constituency; Google across the board, JAMF for MDM (iPads only), PowerSchool for SIS, Blackbaud in Advancement and Development, CheckWriters/Facts in Business Office.

Just enjoying the promise of normalcy this year is bringing!

    Hi all,

I'm Dan McGee, and I'm honored to be entering my 10th year as the Director of Technology & Library Services at Laurel School in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Our school serves girls in Kindergarten through Grade 12, with a coed pre-primary. I've spent my career in school technology roles in girls' schools, which somehow makes me uniquely suited to raise two small boys who can only attend my school for a short time!

My department is exceptional and are willing to tackle (almost) everything. We cover educational technology, our makerspace, IT, and libraries. Cornerstones of our school is our 1:1 program, which is K-12 (thanks to covid!), two beautiful libraries, two wonderful campuses, and some really unique teaching spaces! Have you ever taught in a yurt?

I'm proud to say I've been a part of ATLIS since the first conference, and it is one of the most fulfilling, collegial groups of people I have encountered!

Hello everyone! I am the Director of Technology for TMI Episcopal. TMI is Texas Military Institute. It is one of the oldest Episcopal schools in South Texas. It was founded in 1893 by Bishop James Johnston. One of our more famous alums from the first graduating class is General Douglas MacArthur. Currently we are a 6th through 12th grade college preparatory school with 5 and 7 day boarding and day students. Our boarding program is primarily international students.

I started at TMI as a network administrator and have been the Director of Technology for the past two years. I have been here 9 years total. I have two team members that I work with. One network engineer and one technology specialist. Wed also have a librarian that is adjunct to the technology department.

We are primarily a Google Suite school but do have all of the Microsoft apps for students and faculty alike. We are a BYOD 1:1 school with a mix of student owned PC's, Mac Books, and Chromebooks. All of my faculty and staff are using Microsoft Surface Pro's  and a few Surface Books. We made the decision to move away from desktops in 2020 just before the pandemic. This year we will be getting rid of our last few desktops as the primary user machine.

We are going through a growth period as we near the 500 mark of student enrollment. The 90 acre campus is expanding, remodeling, and renovating buildings over the next few years and we are adding a lower school to provide K-5th grade moving forward.

We are excited top have recently joined ATLIS to learn from the community as we begin this expansion.

We have a great technology team consisting of a Database Manager, Technology Manager, our Librarian, and myself. We support a 1:1 program in all grades. Currently, we use Macs in the middle school and Windows machines in the upper school.

    Hello All,

I am Vincent Jansen, currently working as an k12 education consultant, but started as a biology/chemistry teacher. Last year, I left my post as a Director of Technology at a Canadian Independent school, at the time the only Canadian school member of ATLIS.  This completed a cycle of school roles for a 30+ year career as a Director of Technology in multiple independent and international schools including roles as Director of Academics. I am quite familiar with many facets of schools and learning organizations. I have been an ATLIS ECATD (ALI) mentor and presenter at the annual conference.

My current focus is on organizational digital transformation primarily leveraging technology process intelligence, and marketing & communication solutions. I have worked for several education vendors, primarily as a sales consultant and currently a member of the Board for several Edtech start-ups. I have been a member of Educational Collaborators for over a decade and enjoy collaborating with colleagues to share insights, solutions, and support for school Edtech initiatives.

I enjoy golfing, biking, hiking, pickleball, camping, and the pursuit of balance and mindfulness. I look forward to sharing and contributing to this group and am thrilled to join you all on this new channel.

    Hi All,

My name is Trevor Hoyt and I'm the Director of Technology at Durham Academy in Durham, NC. We are a PreK-12 day school with about 1230 students. We have a 1:1 iPad program in grades PreK-8, and are 1:1 MacBook Air in grades 9-12. In addition, we have Apple TV's in all classrooms and manage all of our Apple devices with JAMF Pro. We've been using Veracross school-wide for our school information system since 2010.

I am fortunate to have some VERY talented colleagues in both our IT department (Network Manager, Database Manager, Helpdesk Manager, iPad Program Manager) and in instructional technology (we have 3 tech coordinators, one at each division). I truly enjoy working with all of them to keep improving our program, which is one of the reasons I've stayed at the school so long (I started in 1998). When not working with technology, I enjoy co-directing our Upper School jazz/rock ensemble, In The Pocket (I usually play guitar or bass and arrange a lot of our music).

We've been ATLIS members for a few years now, and I've learned so much from everyone - it's such a great resource! In particular, I feel like our cybersecurity policies have improved a lot through what we've learned being members of ATLIS. I look forward to learning much more in the years to come from everyone here!

    Best,

    Hi Ashley (and community)

I have just joined the Atlis community today.  This is my story.  In July, I made the move from my 8 year stint as the Technology Administrative Assistant to the schools Client Technology Support Specialist.  I have spent time substitutin in the classroom over the past 14 years or guiding students in set construction for the theatre program here.  I am now taking that teaching background into this position where I will be supporting and training students, faculty, and staff.

This is where being apart of this community comes into play.  While I have spent years being taught some of the ins and outs of this position, I still have more to learn and am hitting some road blocks in my knowledge.  I will be coming to all of you for your experiences.

I am at The Bush School (K12 in Seattle).  My background or degree is in Technical Theatre: Design and Production.  I am not alone in my background on my team.  There are 5 IT support staff and all but one have a theatre background.  This does help our team to really think outside of the box.  The Technology Department also consists of Instructional Technology and Library Support Staff.  Our school is a multidevice/multiplatform school with 1-to-1 BYOD starting in 7th grade.

About me: I still do live theatre when I can.  I stage manage so it's a lot of time invested.  My pets consist of 2 cats, 2 cornsnakes, and a lizard.  And I look forward to the day when traveling will not be as tedious.

I look forward to getting to know this community and the support I might find here.

I am the Educational Technology Coordinator for Oak Hill Academy in Lincroft, NJ.  Our school was started by our current headmaster 41 years ago as a private junior high school and has grown to be a thriving Prek-8 school currently with 330 students.  I have served in the role of edtech coordinator since  2015, when the position was established.

I am the tech team with responsibilities of overseeing technology integration efforts, providing onsite technology support for faculty and students, and serving as the "boots on the ground" liaison with our external IT networking consultants.  Our one-to-one Chromebook environment is supplemented by iPad use in Prek-grade 1.  Technologically, we have grown in leaps and bounds since 2015.  Growth continues both at OHA and personally as I am also in  Educational Technology Leadership Doctoral program at NJCU.
