    Hello,

We are looking in the making some changes to our current Appletv in classroom projecting. We have been using Airplay for a number of years and have started to run into DRM issue with some content. For now we are using HDMI direct connect as a workaround. I came across this as a possible solution to resolve this issue and I was wondering is any of you out there have any experience with this solution. Squirrels Ditto it has an app that you install on an AppleTV and is cross platform.

    Any input would be great.

    Thanks, Brad

I used a trial of Ditto on chromebooks and experienced far too much latency to make it a worthwhile replacement. A thread on DRM workarounds over on ISED saw a suggestion of Firefox as currently working around the Airplay DRM problem, but I haven't confirmed.

Thanks for your response. We have found a workaround for this issue. What we need to do is turn off Hardware Acceleration in Chome and that resolves the issue for us. I too have heard Firefox will also work but have not tested it.
