Yep, I think the largest list of parents that faculty can email without having Communications send the blast is a homeroom or sports team. So probably anything to more than 20-25 families needs to be sent to, approved by, and sent out by Communications. And there is no mechanism in our SIS/directory to show a batch list of parent emails, so either faculty need to hit each page one by one, or get the lists specifically from parents (or, I guess, code up something to scrape the pages).

I'm with Bill. 1) How do they have all of those email addresses? and 2) Anything to parents en masse goes through Comms.

For any campus or "all school" mailing, we have that coordinated via the campus office or communication department.
I have a question: How would a faculty member get access to a list of all of the parents in the first place? This is usually only accessible via your information system(s) or website communication tools.

I'm looking for policies on who you allow teahers to email. Example are teachers allowed to email all parents of all students or only the communciation dept is allowed to do this?
Thanks
