  • 1.  Creating an Instructional Technology Scope & Sequence

I am the Instructional Technologist at my school and I am in the process of rolling out my IT plan. To begin this process I need to create a Technology Scope & Sequence for technology expectations. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or would like to share what their school has created. I know I will be including the ISTE standards but not sure yet what format I will be using. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

    Hi @Anne Carson!
You can't go wrong with the ISTE standards. They should have you covered.
Don't forget to share the education leader section https://www.iste.org/standards/iste-standards-for-education-leaders with your SLT ;)

To benchmark, it's worthwhile checking out your state's and maybe some neighboring states' S&S, e.g., https://files.nc.gov/dpi/2020-cte-essential-standards-april-2020.pdf

Texas usually has a good set, too: https://tea.texas.gov/academics/learning-support-and-programs/technology-resources/technology-standards-for-students-teachers-and-librarians

    Good luck!
