    Hello everyone,
My ed tech/library team and I will be working together this summer to create a "framework" for digital literacy skills for our students in K-12. We already have the standards we plan to use so my question is more about format- for those of you that have something like this created, how do you present it to grade level teachers? Right now we have everything in a K-12 spreadsheet and it always overwhelms teachers so our goal is to simplify and communciate clearly what students need to be able to do at each grade level. I would love to see some examples of what other schools use. Thanks in advance for any insights and suggestions!

    Take care,
    Angela

    Hi Angela,

Ours is currently in a Google sheet. It is a very involved spreadsheet. Only true spreadsheet lovers would really appreciate all the ins and outs it offers. We did shrink it for an "At a Glance" page that we use with teachers. It fits on one printed page, is clear, and is readable.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Jennifer,

Your spreadsheet is great and gives me some ideas to improve I spreadsheet I have with a list of apps/online services and examples of how  teachers currently use them.  Your spreadsheet is a good model of how I might make that information more accessible for teachers to look at as a way get ideas from colleagues.

One question though: When I accessed your spreadsheet I was unable to click the + icons to expand the information seemingly because I have only view access.  When I made a copy of the spreadsheet (and therefore had edit access) the expand icons worked fine.  Have you found this to be a complication and/or do you have a way around it other than everyone having edit access?  (I also tried it with Commenter access and that didn't work either.)

    Thanks,
    Bill
