I am Deaf, so I use Otter.AI as an accessibility device, and that works great for my purposes. However, I would be cautious about transcribing board meetings as a formal practice since anything recorded is discoverable from a legal standpoint. If the board wants that, then my point is moot, as long as they recognize that its discoverable. I delete my sensitive transcripts since they are only used for the express purpose of making events accessible and empowering me to participate in them--not to keep a recorded transcript of. If they were transcribed, kept, and hence discoverable, I wouldn't be invited to any meetings that they don't want or desire to have recorded. You'll also want to inform everyone who is being transcribed, and what rules will apply to those transcripts, etc. Just be cognizant about those potential issues.
Best, Rob

Subject: In Person Board Meeting Transcription
Hi All,
We are looking to find a solution to transcribe our in-person board meetings. As anyone found a service/ai-tool that you have successfully done this with? I know there are lots of options for virtual meetings.
Thanks!
