I would love to hear how other schools launched an esports program. What advice would you give an independent school that is just starting to look into esports for middle school?  I am curious about selecting coaches, leagues, and games. What was your decision-making process? How have you addressed concerns that esports encourages those students that already have screen time issues to spend more time on their computers? (This is a concern from some administration and some parents)

Our Athletic Director is open to starting a program. How did you include your AD?
What type of technical needs did you have to consider?

Any other advice about esports is welcome.

    Thank you!

    Emily,

There was an indy school e-sports league. Here's their webpage that might be a starting point for you.

Try to reach out to Tram Tran at cannonschool.org. He built a program from nothing with no funding. He knows some tricks.
