    Hi All,

Is anyone using Looker Studio for curriculum mapping? It seems promising for a school whose curricular documentation is already housed in G-suite.

    Thanks!

    Hi Eric,

I've built out an internal Google Workspace add-on with Looker Studio Dashboards for this purpose. I've also presented on this topic at previous ATLIS annual conferences. Perhaps this is of interest:

    Hi @Eric Zahler!

Great if you can use Looker Studio for this purpose! I never thought to use something like this for curriculum mapping, but what @Richard Anderson has created is robust.

Depending on what you want to do you can probably do some work in-house as you don't really need to have tons of bells and whistles to make a clean dashboard, but, as always, in-house means that you have to make sure the process is sustainable when creating and also maintaining.

I can recommend it if you want to use it as Google has really cleaned up and simplified the analysis side of things in Looker Studio. I had previously (several years back) used Google Data Studio as soon as I could get my hands on it (since it beat all the manual data collection and analysis as well as kept it all in once place) when building dashboards for school leaders and board members in an organization. There we looked at learning outcomes and performance in comparison to regional and national statistics so it was a lot of number crunching, but it was definitely time well spent. End-of-year reports for the different schools in the organization were quick to generate, data collection could be done through forms or other simplified data collection methods and it gave me the option to distribute ownership down to staff level in that way so I wasn't spending time chasing down what was required for higher level decision making.

If you want to learn more about Look Studio, I encourage you to look into the professional learning groups that the Center for Institutional Research in Independent Schools (CIRIS) runs - https://ciris.maret.org/. CIRIS presents at the ATLIS annual conference as well as a number of co-sponsored webinars.

You should reach out to @Eric Heilman - eheilman@maret.org - for more information.
