Like @Barry Kallmeyer, we, MKA, use our Veracross portals (& Google) for the Board of Trustees. We looked at the tools that @Jo-Rel Wilkins mentioned; however, with the training, cost, and management of those platforms, we opted for the Veracross/Google model.
Most of our BoT members are either current or former parents and are already familiar with the Admissions and Parent portals. This lowered the initial bar for training. We leveraged the group functionality of Veracross for access and control of certain resources, such as only showing links to resources in Google assigned to a Board member based on their committee memberships.
With Google, we utilize the school-owned Shared Drives and assign access to the BoT and in-school committee members. This allows our internal staff - who have access - to add resources to the folders, control access levels, and manage users and resources within the Google ecosystem. All resources remain in the ownership of the school, and should we need to pivot to a different tool, we have all of those items in one control location.
Happy to walk through the details of this more with anyone interested.

Subject: OnBoard as portal solution for Board of Trustees?
Greetings,
We are searching for a dedicated portal solution for our Board of Trustees. Thus far, OnBoard seems to offer the best solution for the most reasonable cost (at least on paper).
If your school's Board of Trustees is already using OnBoard (or if you have experience with the product at a different school), would you please let me know? I would appreciate hearing about your school's experience with the product and the company.
Many thanks,
Jim
