    Hi All!

We've been going through ADP coverage options with Lenovo, from whom we're likely going to be purchasing chromebooks. Historically, we've always got the ADP warranty offered by Lenovo, and then they have been responsible for completing necessary repairs.

It now looks like Lenovo has partnered with a third-party (Safeware) to provide ADP coverage. With this option, it looks like repairs are completed by Safeware instead of Lenovo, and cases for the chromebooks are also included as a bundle. More information here.

While it looks like this could offer financial savings, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience working with Safeware? Can you speak to the ease/difficulty of working with them, quality of repairs, etc?

We've had negative experiences in the past when a supplier has partnered with a third-party, so are anxious about going down this road again. If anyone has any info then it would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

We used Safeware years ago with our Apple laptops to supplement our AppleCare coverage. This was an additive insurance we had on the device and included a $250.00 deductable per issue.

What we found was that, based on the cost of the policy and breakage rates, it was cheaper for us to self-insure while maintaining the same per-incident deductible that the families pay.
