Hi Mark,
Have you considered using Replit as a potential solution? It's a great platform for collaborative coding and could provide a secure environment for hosting student applications.
Also, random idea, have you thought about incorporating real-world tools for operationalizing coding projects? Introducing students to Jenkins, Puppet, or even having them build their own infrastructure in Google Cloud could be fun but also a lot more complex. While GCP does require a credit card to get started, it's great for hands-on experience in managing production-level coding infrastructure. Sorry this is more of something they'd learn in college but just wanted to throw it out there.

Subject: Student Web Hosting Space and Code Collaboration
Hello Everyone,
We have a software engineering course at our upper school that allows for students to create real world applications. In a lot of these applications, they want to build something for the school such as reservations systems for student tutoring or a library checkout system. These systems require students to enter some personally identifiable information, such as First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.
We have a data privacy and security initiative and we are looking at the best place to store this information. For those who have student developed projects webiste and applications, where are you hosting these websites? What tools have you used for collaborative coding?
We are trying our best to let the students use real world tools and not limit what the teacher can do, but we also want this to be done safely.
