Let me start by acknowledging that an iPad or a Tablet-PC would solve this issue, but...

From a Macbook is anyone using software other than Photobooth to capture images of student work done on paper, particularly in math, that can then be shared with a teacher for mark-up, assessment, and grading. We have been hearing that the image quality in Photobooth isn't great and often doesn't capture clearly all that is needed.

As a predominantly Apple campus (MacOS and iOS), a number of our teachers are recommending the use of the iOS notes app, specifically the PDF capture feature.

This allows the vast majority of our students who have iPhones the ability to capture and then upload the resultant PDF into our LMS, which then will allow for annotation, etc.
