Hope you will all join me in Orlando on Tuesday at 8:30 AM in Oceans Ballroom 5-8 for a discussion of what computing for young children could look like and how the future is clearly computational. As schools around the world embrace notions like "computer science for all," it's critical that we slow down and imagine what that might actually look like in practice, especially K-12.
My work is heavily influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach, rooted in progressive traditions, and based on forty years of teaching computer programming to children.
Progress will only be achieved by slowing down and realizing a commitment to democratizing high quality experiences.
