The DEI +Tech Collaborative crowdsourced pertinent issues pertaining to DEI + Tech during the "Power of the Crowd" activity. We gathered that the highest topics of interest from the attendees centered around Community/Faculty education and best practices for DEI in the classroom and navigating these ever-emerging topics in the classroom. We also found that identifying blind spots in your organization pertaining to DEI truly takes intrinsic work as a leader to rumble with how DEI should be a strong standing part of the organization. With the hiring of staff specializing staff to truly meaningful professional development for faculty, it seems those measures are not only catalytic but provide solace in the community to truly embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion in our learning organizations.

Additionally, relaying the importance to vendors who manage data and systems to be collecting data in relation to DEI serves as a means of perpetuating these meaningful practices.

We hope the discussion amongst our group inspired other groups to take the bold step in implementing DEI best practices in their own learning communities.
