Hello All, 

A parent would like to buy a book through their personal kindle account that their student would access on their school Chromebook. While on the surface it seems like a reasonable thing to want to do, I imagine there are several reasons why it wouldn't work. Anyone encounter something like this before, or have any insights?

Like Heather this is something we've allowed, though it's mostly come up in situations when students have choice of what to read for class and have an audiobook accomodation.

I wouldn't want to stand in the way of a kid and a book, but I would doublecheck on the privacy policies of the kindle app, especially for a younger reader. If the app collects data (kind of Amazon's thing), then it may be an issue with COPPA compliance. I think there is a way to set a kids profile, but I'm less familiar with the Chromebook app.
