Hello! We have been using an innovative access point by Unifi for the past many years with a public announcement speaker built into it.  We are now ready to replace the access points, but they are no longer making this type of device.  I thought for sure by now there would be some easy IP public announcement/school communication system available.  Our current system is super easy for everyone to use with an app on our cell phones.  I have been looking around online and it seems like everything I'm finding looks like the PA systems I had when I was in school in the 70s and 80s.  Is anyone using anything fantastic that you'd recommend? I feel like I must be missing something or searching for the wrong thing.

    Thanks!

    Hi Melika,

I just started at a new school and in the exact same boat with those Unifi access points! At this stage, I'm planning to upgrade our access points and look for something completely different for the PA system. Right now, it seems like InformaCast is a contender, but I have yet to go through a demo with them. I'm hoping to get bells, a PA system, and crisis communication in the one system.

We have in ceiling speakers from Home - Algo Communication Products Ltd. (algosolutions.com). We have them setup as a SIP phone number on our PBX but they have other options.
