    Hello Hive Mind,

I am looking for some feed back from those of you that have moved your fleets into Monterey.  I work at an Indepentent school and the last thing we want to do is allow our Faculty and Staff to upgrade to Monterey and have connections in Jamf fail.  Have any of you experienced any issues thus far?  Do any of you us SmartBoards and what has been the outcome with the compatibility?

I am hoping to get positive reviews and allow the upgrade to commence prior to Winter Break on the 20th.  I look forward to your insight and knowledge base responses.

    Hello Julie,

I have been using Monterey since the start of the beta and, overall, it has been pretty problem free.  Unfortunately, we do not use any Smartboards here at Webb, so I can't give you any specifics on that.  I can say that the single issue that I have run into with Monterey, and Big Sur as well, is printer driver compatibility.  It is really hit-or-miss whether a particular printer woll have a driver that will work with the newest systems.  A bunch of printer manufactures have simply stopped updating their drivers completely and just recommend connected via Airplay.  Airplay is great on a home network, but less reliable on a modern school network IMO, so not an ideal solution.

I hope this helps, but I am always open to discuss specifics if I can be of service.
