We've been talking a lot about hiring over the past few months. Do you have any creative places where you have been able to find help? We're looking to include some of your ideas in an upcoming issue of Access Points.

One example: look to displaced AV people from the hotel and event industry.

At a recent ATLIS DEI committee meeting, this site was recommended for a more inclusive job search: Strategenius

The Apple Store (or Microsoft Store depending on platform) as there are always well-trained people who are looking to get out of retail.

    Ashley,

LinkedIn has often listed as a good source to seek qualified candidates.  I have also listed in some specific Facebook Groups that may have people with the specific skillset you are looking for. The benefit of posting on this network is that it is a network!.

In regards to the hiring process, here is an article that may be of interest which highlights changes in hiring practice. Although this may not be common practice for most of us, it does point to a shift in hiring to find the candidate that is best fit with your culture.

    All the best.

This article is insightful and thought-provoking.  Education has a long way to go.  I wonder what Gabe Lucas at 12M thinks about this trend given his insights about the way School's connect with talent in a post-pandemic economy.
